It annoyed me i couldn't find this atmosphere anywhere here, so i decided to build this for you: remember the classic "thunder rolls then a wolf howls" sound bed used on so many kids' shows back in the 1970's? well, here you go! this is uses the classic thunderclap by a freesound user whose name i can't remember but will ad when i do remember, some more classic moaning wind by me, a retro wolf howl performed by yours truly with added reverb on top. And yet another super short story for the small children.

Late august here in the midwest is the time for the loud choruses of insects. This recording, done in the backyard of a small town, features the classic"ebb and flow and swell" of the dusk insects. Since a park is nearby, you also hear in the background the excited voices of kids playing---maybe these youngsters do realize that soon they will be back in school and that the joyous, careful time of summer play and reflection will soon be over. Recording made with my zoom h4n recorder using its built-in internal microphones. The volume was set on 80. Enjoy, and maybe you too can use this sound-file for your own meditation, or simply thinking and taking stock of the accomplishments and blessings during the outdoor seasons and comfortably contemplate the upcoming dark, and bare and gray seasons ahead.

It's a scream recorded for a project, most convincing part of that project, thusly been using this scream in other projects as my very own wilhelm scream.

Created for an upcoming film, this is the audio from a nightmare a character in the film has about the terrible 1966 aberfan, wales disaster. He sees himself in a hallway at pantglas school then hears the coal tip land slide coming, then sees it crash through a distant wall and come rushing at him. This was a very difficult piece of sound design to construct because of my emotions about the disaster and how the national coal board responded: 500 pounds sterling maximum to each grieving parent for each dead child, and with questions such as, "how close were you to your child?" if the answer was somehow not close enough for the panel, no money was awarded. The film scene will be handled with taste and respect, and no dead children will be depicted.

Pajarito it's the name of the song. What you hear are jacanas, the small traditional guitars used by jarocho's musicians, and one requinto guitar (and some kids laughing). Playing jaranas: elías meléndez, who i personally dubbed as "the muddy waters of son jarocho" -he passed away on 2017-; arturo barradas, leader of soneros del tesechoacan, a famous jarocho music band, and his son, young elías barradas. Playing the requinto guitar is adrián luna, who for many years was a member of the grammy awardees group los cojolites. Adrián luna's voice is on one song (el conejo) included in the soundtrack of the two oscars winner and internationally recognized movie frida (2002). An almost similar snare sound to that of idioteque in radiohead's 2000 album kid a. Though it is meant for experimental style, i think it would work with any form of electronic music. It was created by resonating noise from audacity, filtering it, fading it out, stretching it and compressing it. It has a characteristic sustain to it. Imagine it as a mix of a gunshot, cymbal, shaker and snare. Feel free to use it in any way you like. If you ever use it publicly or commercially, notify me so that i can hear how you used it.
